Oldfield House is a 33 bed home situated in Stainforth. This spacious home benefits from very good local amenities and a strong community spirit, and provides expert care for older people, including those living with dementia.

Our approach to Dementia Care is called LIFE, 'Living in Full Engagement'. We believe that people living with dementia feel included and engaged. In our homes, we focus on the person not the illness. We get to know each individual and understand their unique life biography. We plan care around the person living with dementia, along with their families and loved ones.

We strive to create a homely environment at Oldfield House, and we provide all the comforts of good food, good company and friendly staff, in a calm and restful atmosphere. The home has excellent amenities, including comfortable lounges in which residents can relax. In addition, we have a dedicated area for dementia care, designed to enable those we care for to maintain their independence in a safe environment.

Activities Are So Important

At Oldfield House, we realise how important it is to stay as active as possible, to help stimulate mind and body, so we encourage all our residents through our activity and engagement based care programme. We help and support our residents to continue with their hobbies and interests as much as realistic for us to do so, via our Wellbeing Lead. Our Wellbeing Lead encourages residents to get involved. Just some of the activities include, dancing, singing, Karaoke, bingo, crafts and trips out. It is so important to hear your views on what you would like to do, new ideas are always welcomed.
