| Activities Are So Important |
|---|
|
Our dedicated wellbeing and activities team make every possible effort to ensure that there is always something to keep our residents active and engaged. From crafts and quizzes, classic painting, shopping trips and gardening to visits from local schoolchildren and not forgetting weekly visits from the local clergy. When planning activities and encouraging meaningful engagement our team will consider all aspects of an individual resident. Nationality, religion or culture are likely to have a major influence on preferences for music, food, clothes and everyday routines, to name a few things. We call this person-centred care .. it’s all about the individual. Mayfield View also has a small café open to the public, a cinema room, a spa, a gym and even a private pub to keep residents busy and to ensure that there is always something to do. We regularly request feedback from our residents to ensure that we are accommodating and adaptive to individual wishes. The Teapot Tearooms is hosted by a friendly and welcoming team, and many residents pop in daily for a hot drink, a delicious, home-baked slice of cake and a catch up with fellow residents or their visitors. It’s also popular with the local community, offering a superb bookable afternoon tea experience! |
