Helen Walters is Registered Manager at Kimberley Care Village.
I am a qualified RMN, I have worked in health care as both a nurse and nursing assistant for over 34 years in a variety of settings both within the NHS and private nursing and care homes. My very first qualified nurse job was in an adolescent service, moving into a senior nurse in both forensic and acute settings finishing off the latter years in Dementia services.
I believe we work in the resident’s home, they don’t reside in our workplace; life for those individuals diagnosed with Dementia should be filled with as much happiness, singing, dancing, love, laughter and smiles from those of us who support them.
Kimberley Care Home is set in delightful landscaped gardens in the heart of the village of Long Sutton:
Purpose built to provide a variety of bespoke care packages tailor made to the individual, these include:
• High Dependency Residential Care
• Enhanced Dementia Care
• Elderly Residential Care
• Emergency / Planned respite Care
We aim to provide a safe, warm and stimulating environment for all residents regardless of their level of need. We encourage everyone to live full, entertaining and independent lives.
Come and enjoy the experience in this designed for purpose home where your comfort and peace of mind are our priority. Living at Kimberley really is a new beginning for you and your loved ones where specialised care is provided on one of the four specialist wings catering for dementia and residential elderly care.
Kimberley boasts stunning lounges on each floor, and all rooms are tastefully decorated and fully equipped to meet the individual needs of our residents. As you would expect there is a call bell in every room for residents to summon assistance should they need it. We encourage residents to bring in small personal effects to personalise their rooms as our aim is to make you feel at home.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
