Meet The Manager

Bartosz Turewicz is General Manager at Nodens Manor Care Home.

Bart has been working in the care industry for over 18 years, progressing from a Care Assistant through to a General Manager. He is thrilled to be commissioning a new home, welcoming a brilliant team, and most importantly he is here to support and grow our resident community. “The support and wellbeing of everyone who lives at Nodens Manor Care Home is my main priority, and opening Nodens has been a brilliant achievement.”

Bartosz Turewicz

Nodens Manor is the perfect addition to Lydney’s senior living landscape, with 66 ensuite rooms. Within easy reach of local shops and only a short journey from the town of Gloucester and Chepstow, Nodens Manor is nestled at the edge of the Wye Valley and is a short drive over the English border. With the both the Forest of Dean and the River Severn nearby, Nodens Manor is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.

The home’s name is deeply steeped in history, giving a nod to two great civilisations – the Romans and the Celts. Nodens Manor takes its inspiration from the Roman-built temple in nearby Lydney Park. The site at Lydney Park is said to have inspired Moria and Eregion in Tolkien’s Middle Earth.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Our Building and Facilities

Nodens Manor is dedicated to delivering the highest levels of quality care and support for our residents in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our luxury care homes are designed and developed to meet the needs of our residents – that’s our priority. Nodens Manor is part of Elmfield Care, a small, privately owned care home group that is committed to caring for our residents.

Gorgeous Gardens
The outside of Nodens Manor is just as important as the inside. Our landscaped gardens are designed to make it easy for our residents to step out and get a breath of fresh air any time they want to. Developed for easy navigation, our gardens are full of manicured lawns that are restful of the eye and floral beds that bring colour and interest to every season.

Library

Our home can be full of life and laughter, but there’s always a place for quiet calm and reflection in our library. It’s a quiet corner of our home which is warm and comforting and a popular spot to read or relax. Full of good books yet to be explored, our residents can spend time there alone or meet a friend for a boardgame or a good game of chess.

Cinema

Our fabulous cinema room is an amazing place to watch a blockbuster with your friendship group or to relive the old classics and talk about times gone by. With cosy and comfortable chairs and freshly popped corn to satisfy the nibblers amongst you, our cinema is a great place to spend time.

Salon Secrets

Our residents will be able to pop along to the salon and book themselves in for a pamper or even just a quick trim. We know how important it is to our residents to look good – it helps to make them feel good – and that’s such an important part of general wellbeing. Part of our all-inclusive living, they can book an appointment or see if there are any drop-in sessions on offer.

Activities Are So Important

How our residents spend their days is important to the team at Nodens and they love to create a programme that stimulates the body, mind and spirit, giving our residents something to look forward to each and every day. Talking with our residents, our team develops a schedule of activities that includes daily and weekly activities, like quizzes and games, and that also introduces new crafts and gentle exercises that they may not have tried before.

We’ll help residents to find activities that they feel comfortable with but we’ll also encourage them to stretch themselves if they’ll feel the benefit from it.
