Madeira Lodge is a specialist 48-bed care environment in New Romney, Kent, specialising in care for those with dementia and its related conditions.

The two-storey building has rooms that are decorated to a high standard, and allows access to a large garden to be able to sit out in, during warmer months.

Potential clients and their families are actively encouraged to visit and spend some time at the home as part of the assessment process.

Respite services are also offered as a break for family members who care for their loved ones at home.

Belmont Healthcare Group provides care for individuals over the age of 50 predominantly with dementia. Care can also be offered to those under the age of 50 years with a diagnosis of dementia or other health needs. As required by our regulator the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and benefit from training and experience in dementia awareness.

As specialists within Dementia our team of professionals are highly experienced in providing dementia care and 24 hour support to those suffering the effects of Alzheimer’s, confusion and other similar conditions. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and loving home for our residents, and an environment which is stimulating yet peaceful and dignified.

We have a dedicated Activity Coordinator at Madeira Lodge who organises trips out to local areas of interest as well as to Dementia Cafe's, garden centres and to the beachfront.

Madeira Lodge Little stone is a 48 bed purpose built residential care home perfectly positioned near the seafront in a charming residential area providing care for those with dementia and related illnesses.

Communal spaces offer plenty of options, from a large main lounge for socialising to quieter areas for reading or relaxing. A bright and modern dining area is the perfect space for a snack or a main meal, and the conservatory brings the outside in when it isn’t quite warm enough to venture out.  

To the rear of the building is a perfectly maintained and enclosed garden that provides plenty of space for pottering, relaxation, watching and engaging with nature.The home also benefits from an extensive sensory garden. Packed full of flowers, shrubs and herbs, the garden has been designed to stimulate and engage the senses.

Activities Are So Important

As a part of your care arrangement, you will be supported with basic and physical activities of daily living to live as ordinary life as possible, suited to your abilities, at home and in the community.  We have day trips out to local areas such as cafes, garden centres and parks, we also have connections to the local girls school & we enjoy as well as actively encourage other local visitors who love to stay in touch with our care team and residents.
