Meet The Manager
Nichola Grain is Registered Manager at Alcedo Care Lancaster and Wyre.
I joined Alcedo Care in November 2019 as a Care Ambassador. I was then promoted to Field Care Supervisor, then Care Coordinator and am now the Registered Manager for Alcedo Care Lancaster & Wyre.
I have worked in Health and Social Care for 20 years and I graduated from Blackpool and Fylde University in 2017 with a BA Honours in Health and Social Care – Children and Families pathway
My journey started when I was 17 as a Kitchen Assistant in a nursing home. Since then I have worked in nursing homes, domiciliary care, on EMI units, in a children nursery and in mental health supported living.
I enjoy caring for others and helping to make their days a little brighter. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my partner and our children.
Our aim at Alcedo Care Lancaster & Wyre is to deliver the highest possible standard of care and first class customer service in both our homecare services and our temporary healthcare staffing solution services.

Maintaining good nutrition and hydration is extremely important. Carers can prepare all types of meals for our clients. This may be simply heating a ready meal and cooking some vegetables to accompany it or cooking a full meal depending on the visit time available and the client's wishes |
