Vicky Boursnell-Brooks is Registered Manager at Crecy Care Home.
“I love my job and am privileged to have such a good, kind and loving team here. We have very low staff turnover – one of our care workers has been here for 22 years! We’ve taken staff members from apprentice to senior care worker – I’m so proud of them all.
“Working in a care home is not a job you can do half-heartedly. Every day is different here, and we all pull together and do the very best we can for our lovely residents. We’re like a big family.”
Agincare is a family owned business. We provide national coverage with over 3500 staff employed in England which includes live in care, home care and residential care homes. Despite our success and growth we remain proud of our family values and strive always to do our very best for all of our residents and clients.

Our Building and Facilities |
---|
Crecy's environment and facilities are really unique. We have numerous options available for residents, ranging from our independent living cottage, through to the specialist mental health unit and dementia care unit. Crecy is a “home from home” for many of our residents, some of whom have been with us for more than 10 years. We assess their care needs regularly to ensure the level of care they receive is appropriate. Spacious lounges and dining rooms overlook our lovely garden, for all to enjoy. The south-facing lawn is especially inviting on a sunny day and residents can tend to the borders, greenhouse plants and raised beds throughout the year. There is also a nature area, which attracts lots of wildlife, meaning the sounds of chirping birds are never far away. Residents can sit and chat with others in the conservatory, or enjoy the many quiter spots across the grounds. |

Description |
---|
We are so lucky here at Crecy to have great room options. Some of our bedrooms have amazing views over the Radipole Lake RSPB reserve, Weymouth and beyond. Other rooms open directly onto the garden, so residents can enjoy plenty of time outside in and around nature. Our 36 single bedrooms are spread across three floors of our main house and The Cottage. All our rooms have en-suites or washbasins in the room. The rooms without en-suites have accessible bathrooms nearby. Our residents enjoy personalising their rooms with photos and furniture. This is important because it makes our residents feel at home. It also gives our staff the opportunity to learn more about each resident and get to know their family and friends too, which can start conversations about memories and experiences. The Cottage is a self-contained annexe which facilitates a more independent lifestyle, an ideal environment for community rehabilitation. It has its own bedrooms which are mainly ensuite, as well as a kitchen, wetroom and lounge. |
