Paul Beasley is Registered Manager at Chalgrove Care and Nursing Home.
We’ve got a great team here at Chalgrove. We take time to get to know our residents well – their likes and dislikes, their history and experiences.
As well as their caring duties, I think it’s so important that staff can spend time simply chatting, listening and sharing stories, or helping out with a jigsaw puzzle.
We fully involve residents and families in life here at Chalgrove – whether that’s in planning and reviewing care, or asking for their comments and feedback. We’re always looking to understand where we can change and do better.
Our staff often go the extra mile for our residents. There are regular shopping errands, to buy a particular product or a birthday card. And they often take home special items of residents’ clothing that need washing with extra care.
Agincare is a family owned business. We provide national coverage with over 3500 staff employed in England which includes live in care, home care and residential care homes. Despite our success and growth we remain proud of our family values and strive always to do our very best for all of our residents and clients.

Our care home facilities are relaxed and very homely. A lovely large and sunny conservatory overlooks the garden and we have several lounges and areas for dining. If you fancy a quieter spot for more low-key activities and reminiscing, we have that too. These areas are great for visiting family and friends. Sunny days can be spent in the secure garden which also has a courtyard and loads of seating. Charlgrove provides free Wi-Fi for residents and visitors along with the use of tablets which is great for Skype calls! |

Description |

We have two wings here at Chalgrove. The nursing care wing is called Edwardian and the residential building is called Tudor. There are 57 bedrooms, with three able to accommodate couples. Every room has an en-suite or washbasin in the room. For those without en-suites, there are accessible bathrooms nearby. Lots of the ground floor rooms have direct garden access, and many of those on the upper floors look out onto the garden too. We encourage residents to personalise their rooms by bringing their own furniture and putting up photos. This helps the residents to feel at home, and give our care staff the opportunity to learn more about the individual. We have just started painting the front door of each room a different colour, to make it more recognisable and appealing to the resident. |
