Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

    Description

Residents have the option to personalise our luxury bedrooms. We have both single rooms and interconnecting companion rooms available.

Safety and comfort are our foremost concern, so all our rooms are fitted with a nurse call system and acoustic monitoring for your peace of mind. As well as improving quality of sleep, acoustic monitoring can help to reduce the risk of falls. During your visit to Horsell Lodge ask a member of our team how acoustic monitoring can benefit you.

For those living with memory loss or dementia, design features include dementia-friendly elements such as interior decoration, light levels, floor coverings and signage which help to promote a sense of calm and wellbeing, while enabling people living with dementia to find their way around independently and safely.

This is our first home to include the new ‘Stable Door’ design feature which can benefit residents in four ways:

    • Choice – the doors give residents a degree of choice over their environment. They can have the security of a closed door or flexibility to achieve a middle ground with half open.
    • Recognition – with a larger than standard memory box and illumination on approach, it aids residents living with dementia to recognise their room.
    • Personal Space – with the option to close the lower leaf it gives residents a higher degree of control over their personal space, while still being able to engage with the people around them.
    • Security – the door is only accessible by the resident or a member of the care team, giving comfort to both residents and families.
