Activities Are So Important

Activities are so important to us at Agincare. All our care homes offer numerous activities, excursions and events to keep residents entertained, engaged and stimulated. Whether our residents like getting involved with group activities or prefer to find a quiet space for reading or independent entertainment, we cater to the needs of the individual at all times. Our activity coordinators are always keen to involve residents in the activity calendars and welcome suggestions for new activities or excursions. There is an activity for everyone with Agincare.

We like to organise activities that involve residents and staff. Once a month we hold a ‘Round the World Day’. We choose a country and theme our food, music and activities around it. Our staff are never shy about dressing up to match the country!

Our annual summer fayre is a great occasion for residents, families, friends, visitors and staff. Everyone gets involved and there’s a fantastic atmosphere.

Animal visits are always popular – goats, pigs, rabbits, ducks – they can be sure of a warm welcome at Cordelia House. We also have a resident cat – Kitty – who’s always up for a stroke and a cuddle.

We love music and the entertainers who come in to play and sing.

Our residents really look forward to the fortnightly visits from a local nursery. They love joining in with arts and crafts, singing, stories, ‘show and tell’ and garden activities with the children.

There’s a weekly hairdressing session in our salon. We can also arrange appointments with a Chiropodist, Nail technician, Dentist, Denture care cleaning service and Optician
