Kristina Jacunskiene is Home Manager at Sherwood Grange.

I joined Care UK in 2014 because it has a reputation for having a clear vision of the high-quality care it aims to provide. It also helps its people to do their best work. All of that was very similar to my own professional values.

I am a family-orientated person and, outside of work, love spending quality time with my loved ones. I am a keen traveler and love exploring foreign countries, where I learn and experience other cultures.

As a Home Manager, you need to be available for residents, their families and your colleagues at any time. It’s a big responsibility but also a huge privilege. My favorite part of the day is interacting with our residents, being able to share their special moments and learn from their wisdom.

My ambition is to lead the Sherwood Grange team by example, by putting quality first in everything we do for our residents and families, and to be the care provider of choice in the community.

Sherwood Grange is a modern and luxurious care home in Kingston Vale, South London, offering high-quality residential, dementia and short-term respite care.

Residents live active and fulfilled lives with a range of superb facilities, including a cinema, hair salon and coffee shop, which is the hub of the home. Plenty of garden space means residents can enjoy growing vegetables and flowers, or simply relax outside on sunny days. As well as stunning shared spaces, every resident has their own beautifully furnished en-suite bedroom.

The team at Sherwood Grange always ensures that residents have something exciting to look forward to. They arrange an ambitious programme of activities and trips out and about.

Our ‘outstanding’ rated care home in Kingston Vale, London, provides quality care in stunning surroundings. The experienced team delivers round-the-clock residential care as well as dementia care for people living with the early stages of this condition.

Every resident has their own beautifully furnished en-suite bedroom. The in-house coffee shop is the hub of the home; there’s a cinema and a hair salon, plus plenty of garden space for residents to grow vegetables and flowers. In fact we hold regular competitions with residents to see who can grow the best produce!
