Meet The Manager

Helen Persey is Registered Manager at Cheriton Care Home.

''I am very impressed with the high standard of care at Cheriton Care Home and will continue to uphold its good reputation in the community. We have a strong team spirit and take great pride in our roles as health professionals. No two days are the same here at Cheriton, and that’s what makes being here so interesting and fulfilling. Essentially our aim is for our residents to live as independently as possible, with someone on hand to help them.''

Agincare is a family owned business. We provide national coverage with over 3500 staff employed in England which includes live in care, home care and residential care homes. Despite our success and growth we remain proud of our family values and strive always to do our very best for all of our residents and clients. Cheriton, our care home in Dorchester, is a real home-from-home in the heart of Dorset’s county town. Description

We have 71 bedrooms in a range of sizes at Cheriton, with some able to accommodate couples.

Our ground floor rooms have direct garden or courtyard access and our first floor rooms are fully accessible by stairs or lift.

Some of our rooms have en-suites and others have en-suite wetrooms. There are accessible toilets, bathrooms or wetrooms nearby for residents who do not have en-suites.

We encourage our residents to personalise their rooms by giving them the option to bring their own furniture and put up pictures. This helps residents to feel more at home, and give the staff the chance to get to know residents on an individual basis.

We have painted each bedroom’s front door a different colour, which makes it more recognisable and inviting to the residents.
