Meet The Manager

Karen Cooper is Manager at Lavender Fields.

Hello, my name is Karen Cooper and I am privileged to be the manager of Lavender Fields Care Home.

I have been a Home Manager of Greensleeves for the past 17 years and have previously run care homes in Kent. I started my career as a Nurse and have worked with the elderly for most of my career. I operate an open door policy and will always have time for a chat and a cup of tea. I am proud of the team I lead and am totally confident that all in our care lead a fulfilled life, in a family environment.

Lavender Fields Opened in July 2018 and became the 24th care home of the Greensleeves Homes Trust a not-for-profit organisation and one of the best and most respected care charities in the country.

We are located in Seal, Sevenoaks on the High Street and are lucky to have a quiet location with grounds including a front, back garden, patio terrace and 3 outdoor terraces on Floors 1 & 2.

The home is situated across 3 floors each having 25 bedrooms and its own dining room, lounge, quiet lounge and outdoor space. Other facilities in the Home include a cinema room, activities room, hair and beauty salon and coffee shop. All bedrooms come fully furnished with a number of different styles and sizes along with wet rooms (Shower, Toilet & Basin).

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
