Susan Graham is Home Manager at Harleston House.
Hello, I’m Susan Graham I am the manager of Harleston House. I pride myself on leading a care team providing a very high quality of care for residents. My team and I encourage residents to maintain the lifestyles they are used to whilst maintaining a safe environment for them to live. My personal philosophy here is: “I don’t come here to work, I come and live around the residents offering them companionship, support and encouragement in all aspects of their lives.”
I involve residents as much as they wish in making decisions in all areas of their home. My passion, drive and commitment to Harleston is well supported by all my team, residents and relatives involved with Harleston House. My door is always open and myself, deputy and team always have time to listen.
Harleston House is homely and purpose built home that benefits from excellent facilities that provide a relaxing and comfortable home to live in.
Harleston House has been rated ‘Outstanding’ overall by the Care Quality Commission and ‘Outstanding’ in 3 categories: Caring, Well Led and Responsive. This puts Harleston House in a very small and select group of care homes across the country. We are incredibly proud of this rating given by our regulator and also very proud of the amazing outcomes and happy lives our residents lead.

Harleston House is situated in an ideal setting, close to the sea. The home is well appointed and benefits from pretty landscaped gardens, allowing residents and visitors to comfortably enjoy the seasons. The home is decorated and furnished with dementia care in mind. There are design features employed around the home to help gently prompt memories and assist wayfinding. There are a number of comfortable lounges including an ‘old English tea room’ on the first floor. |

Harleston House has a total of 39 single rooms all of which have en-suite facilities. Although each room is fully furnished to a high standard, residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture. The rooms are also equipped with a call bell system and TV point. |
