What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

During these uncertain times, our team at Serencroft Care Homes is working tirelessly to ensure that our homes and your loved ones are safe, supported and can continue to enjoy friendship and family.

We are working closely with the healthcare community to ensure that all of our care homes follow COVID-19 best practices and guidelines. We are all in this together and know that these past few months have been so difficult for families and we are here to support you every step of the way.

We are currently using Polymerase Chain Reaction and Lateral Flow Tests on a regular basis to ensure we can identify and isolate any positive cases of Coronavirus within the staff cohort and Residents. Staff will be asked to isolate in line with government guidelines.

 Flow Device testing (LFD):

We are pleased to announce that shortly we will be introducing LFD testing in our homes to facilitate rapid results that will help us to keep our Residents, staff and visitors safe. LFD is a new technology which enables rapid display of COVID-19 test results within 20-30 minutes and does not require a lab to process. The LFD tests can be self-administered via nasal and throat swabs similar to the current PCR tests.

Serencroft Care Homes will be employing a member of staff to facilitate this COVID-19 testing process. Our care home’s are looking forward to receiving the delivery of LFD so that we can test scheduled visitors. Each home will contact you directly once we are in a position to offer LFD testing. In the meantime, if you have any questions or would like further information please do not hesitate to contact us, we are here to help.
