Kim Dean is Home Manager at Sedgley Court.
With over 25 years of care sector experience, Kim has a wealth of knowledge in the care industry, having worked in mental health, domiciliary, residential and nursing care settings. Kim’s passion to improve the quality of life for her residents helped her to advance into senior management roles. Kim is committed to delivering person-centred care and supporting residents to remain independent. Kim and her team will take their time to get to know each resident, and their likes and dislikes to create a completely personalised care plan which is tailored to their individual needs.

At Sedgley Court, we offer 24 hour residential and dementia care in surroundings which create a great place to live. We pride ourselves in making a real difference to the lives of our residents, going beyond just meeting their expectations through to the aspirational choices we provide in our person-centred care. Our well-appointed care home has all the finishing touches you would expect from a luxurious home and has been designed with residents in mind.
Residents will enjoy all the luxury facilities on offer, including a welcoming reception area, en-suite bedrooms, a cinema room, café area, landscaped gardens and a hair salon.

All Visits are taking place in resident's bedrooms and a booking in system is used. Residents can have as many visitors as they want and restrictions are now minimal with face masks being worn by visitors. Staff LFD test twice weekly. Introducing Fresh Living - A New Level of Infection ControlIn addition to the high standards of hygiene and cleanliness already in place within our homes, Ideal Carehomes has successfully launched an initiative called ‘Ideal Fresh Living’. This renewed focus towards infection control is our direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic. From the frequent sanitising of all surfaces to frequent deep cleans and the hiring of extra staff to manage cleanliness, Fresh Living instills in our residents and their relatives a sense of safety and protection against the risk of infection. Each Home Manager and Regional Director perform regular routine audits to ensure that our high standards of sanitation are met. Our modern, purpose-built care homes provide the perfect environment to implement natural ventilation into daily life. Large social areas along with spacious bedrooms and en-suite facilities allow plenty of personal space for each resident. |

Maria TaylorRegional DirectorMaria began working in the care industry over 16 years ago, initially managing staff deployment and training within a large care home. Maria’s career quickly progressed as she was promoted to Unit Manager, Deputy Manager and then Home Manager. Prior to this, Maria has also worked as an Accident and Emergency health care assistant at a local hospital. Over the last 6 years, Maria has worked at director level, ensuring that each home within her remit is providing the highest standards of person-centred care. Maria joined Ideal Carehomes in 2020 as Regional Director for two commissioning homes, Launton Grange in Bicester and Sedgley Court in Dudley and her vision is to see these homes making a difference for their new residents right from the start. Nothing makes Maria smile more than seeing happy residents. |
