Hannah Henshaw is Home Manager at Precious Residential Home.

My name is Hannah and I have been part of the Company for the past 20 years supporting both residents and staff along the way. Throughout my career, I have progressed from Care Assistant, through the ranks, to the role of Registered Manager and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

We pride ourselves on putting our residents at the heart of our service, celebrating individuality and encouraging independence to meet even the smallest of needs.

Precious is a private residential home providing a comfortable home-from-home environment for those who have difficulties associated with old age, dementia, long-term physical disability and illness and those requiring nursing care. Experienced staff are able to provide the highest level of personal and emotional care and yet, at the same time, gently encourage each person to maintain an individual level of independence and choice.

Our Building and Facilities

Precious Residential Home is a 38-bedded care home with the majority having en-suite facilities.

Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture and mementos to ease the transition into the Care Home and create a home-from-home environment.

In addition to this, we have several bathrooms, which are specially adapted for those who are less able.

The accommodation boasts multiple communal areas, comfortable lounges and dining areas on both floors, a garden room, cinema room, quiet room, on-site salon, large garden area consisting of ample seating, water feature, chicken coop and aviary.

Dr Jaspal Swalli
Medical Director

Dr Jaspal Swalli is the Registered Provider and Medical Director for the Precious Care Homes Group. He is a Registered Medical Doctor with the General Medical Council and Consultant Psychiatrist. He has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2012. He comes with values of integrity, care, compassion and ethics. 

He is a specialist in acute and urgent care pathways within adult mental health services and has expertise in management of mentally disordered offenders, substance misuse, personality disorder, dual diagnosis and dementia. 

At the heart of Dr Swalli ‘s work is to provide psychoeducation to service users, carers and families to tackle the stigma and discrimination around mental health issues. He is an expert in applying Mental Health and Mental Capacity Act Laws.

I’ve spent the last 12 years working as a Care Home Manager and I am currently supporting Precious Care Homes with their new home in Nottingham.
