Gorseway Manor Residential Care Home is located in the heart of the residential community of Gorseway Park, on Hayling Island in Hampshire, in  four acres of spectacular parkland.

Gorseway Park is a retirement village providing quality retirement living options, including separate leasehold homes, the traditional Manor Care Home and the Gorseway Care and Nursing Home, all situated on the same site.

After a £1.3m refurbishment, it was re-opened in May 2019 and brought up to the high standards expected of all nursing homes in Agincare.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Whilst restrictions nationwide continue to be eased we have taken the precautionary approach to instruct care and support staff to use PPE as they have been doing, including face masks being worn at all times when providing care and support and aprons and gloves when providing personal, direct care within 2 metres.

We're also adhering to all government guidance surrounding Covid-19.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

We have our own minibus and make the most of it! It takes residents for local days out including shopping trips, picnics or simply just to admire our beautiful island coastline.

We also love welcoming a range of entertainers into our home, from vocalists to theatre companies. We also have a good rapport with the local schools who visit often.

Our activity schedule is varied, and our week could include:

  • Exercise classes
  • Arts and crafts
  • Bingo
  • Hair-dressing
  • Cooking and eating!

We also have a hairdressing salon.
