Since the early stages of the pandemic, our teams have been working to a pandemic plan which is updated regularly to reflect any changes to either UK or Scottish government guidance. This plan includes a range of measures aimed at both reducing the likelihood of new Covid-19 infections and reducing the spread of infections where they occur. |

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |
---|
Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. Wireless Internet access (WiFi) Yes, our care home has WiFi in all our resident’s rooms. Mobile Phone Network Coverage (mobile “signal”) Yes, our care home has mobile phone signal in all our resident’s rooms. Telephone for external calling Yes, our care home provides a telephone in all our resident’s rooms. |
Social media provides an up to date window on the activities within a provider's setting.
With the restrictions on visiting during the pandemic, social media platforms such as these offer real insight when you are choosing a provider.

I have a number of years of experience managing care services both in the residential and nursing sectors and also in the community. ![]() Chrissie LockyearDeputy ManagerI feel incredibly privileged to be the Deputy Manager at Ladybrook Manor and work alongside our dedicated and committed team. I have been working in the care sector from the age of 18 when I started my nurse training at Manchester Royal Infirmary. I spent 20 years working for the NHS in a variety of positions, ultimately being promoted to a Clinical Support Sister at MRI. More recently, over the last 10 years, I have work for a number of Care Home Providers ultimately as suite manager or Deputy Manager. ![]() John HarrisonDirector of Community RelationsI am the first point of contact for individuals and their families enquiring about their care options. I am proud to invite people to a tour of our community and make sure they leave with all the relevant information, having seen and experienced Ladybrook Manor for themselves. The most rewarding part of my role is supporting families and individuals, and being able to guide and counsel them during what can be a very emotional journey. ![]() Bethan WildActivities and Volunteers CoordinatorI have been here since January 2011, having started as an Activities Assistant. In 2016 I felt it was time to step up in an exciting new role as the new Activities and Volunteer Coordinator, and enjoy every moment of my day here at Ladybrook Manor. My aim is to fulfil each resident's day by planning and delivering six activities each day with the activities team for the residents to show off their various talents, hobbies and knowledge, or bringing new experiences to our community. ![]() Karen HarrisonReminiscence CoordinatorI joined the community in November 2018. I have worked in the care industry for 10 years with my last role being a dementia specialist trainer, giving care team and management the knowledge and understanding to provide true resident focussed care. I now feel honoured to be a part of such an amazing team who demonstrate love, compassion and kindness to all the residents in the community. |
