What makes the resident experience at Sunbridge Care Home so special? We believe it’s our real sense of ‘family’ that has kindness, friendliness and respect right at its heart.

At Sunbridge we provide assistance with everyday living, as well as care for people living with dementia. We also offer respite care to give families and home carers a well-deserved break.

Whatever each resident’s needs, we’re here to provide all the care their own family could wish for. We’re situated in a residential area of Edmonton in North London. Public transport, local shops and amenities are all within easy reach.

There are communal lounges on each floor where residents can relax with each other or welcome family and friends.

In the communal areas we offer a spacious television lounge on each floor with a separate area for activities. These are perfect places to relax and welcome friends and relatives.

In the warmer months people also enjoy our landscaped gardens and patio seating area. Residents can exercise their green fingers by helping our team tend the plants if they wish.

The Importance Of Meal Times

There’s nothing quite like traditional home cooking to give everyone a lift.

We always ask residents and their families about their food preferences and dietary requirements. Our chef and catering team then work with dieticians to create meals that are nutritious and tasty, using fresh seasonal ingredients.

To add more variety, we also make a point of celebrating with special meals and events throughout the year. Residents can be served in our pleasant restaurant-style dining rooms or, if they prefer, they can take their meals in the privacy of their own rooms.

Activities Are So Important

Another way we can help our residents to feel at home is for them to do familiar things. So our dedicated Activities Leaders gently encourage residents to carry on doing things they enjoy. If someone had a hobby or pastime they did before they arrived, we’ll encourage them to continue it with us. Or perhaps they may like to learn something new.

The important thing is that we treat every resident as an individual. If they enjoy sharing time with others, either in our home or on an organised trip out, they’re most welcome. Or, if they prefer quiet time alone, we’ll respect that too.
