Meet The Manager

Nins Deol is Deputy Manager at Marlborough Court.

What makes the resident experience at Marlborough Court Care Home so special? We believe it’s our real sense of ‘family’ that has kindness, friendliness and respect right at its heart.

You’ll find Marlborough Court Care Home in a pleasant area overlooking the River Thames with private river access. We are close to local shops and public transport, making us easily accessible for visitors to pop-in for a chat.

One of the leading care homes in Thamesmead, our care team offers all types of care, including residential care for people who need help with daily tasks, and nursing care for those who have complex medical needs. We also provide residential dementia care where we support our residents to maintain their independence and individuality, encouraging social activity and building relationships within the home.

Whether residents are with us for a brief respite stay, general residential and nursing care or specialised support for those living with dementia, we’re here to provide all the care their own family could wish for. You’ll find us in Thamesmead within easy reach of local shops and amenities including public transport, with the M25 also close by. All areas of our home are fresh and cheerful with a choice of lively or quiet communal spaces where residents can relax with each other or welcome family and friends. Ours is currently the only UK care home to hold the Care Quality Mark For Older Deaf People. This recognises a suitable environment with staff who are appropriately trained.

The Importance Of Meal Times

There’s nothing quite like traditional home cooking to give everyone a lift.

We always ask residents and their families about their food preferences and dietary requirements. Our chef and catering team then work with dieticians to create meals that are nutritious and tasty, using fresh seasonal ingredients.

To add more variety, we also make a point of celebrating with special meals and events throughout the year. Residents can be served in our pleasant restaurant-style dining rooms or, if they prefer, they can take their meals in the privacy of their own rooms.

Activities Are So Important

We have a busy activities programme so our residents are never without something to do, including regular fêtes, family days, and days out. We have good community links, where local schools often visit our residents, which always puts a smile on their faces.

Another way we can help our residents to feel at home is for them to do familiar things. So our dedicated Activities Leaders gently encourage residents to carry on doing things they enjoy. If someone had a hobby or pastime they did before they arrived, we’ll encourage them to continue it with us. Or perhaps they may like to learn something new.

The important thing is that we treat every resident as an individual. If they enjoy sharing time with others, either in our home or on an organised trip out, they’re most welcome. Or, if they prefer quiet time alone, we’ll respect that too.
